I recently had my wedding anniversary. God had dealing with me for a while that it was time to renew my vows with my beloved wife. Like most all marriages, ours was fraught with selfishness, strife and sin. That is until Jesus healed us. Much of the bond that we had together had been weakened and in some aspects broken altogether. Marriage is sacred and when led by the Holy Spirit and ordained by God, individuals can unite under the banner of Jesus and pass on a heritage that lasts forever. If your marriage needs healing; ask God to heal your marriage. Then take the time to renew your vows one with another. I tell you it has strengthened our bond in ways I never thought possible. I love her more now than the day I married her. Glory to Jesus! Find below an example prayer and example vows. God Bless!
Marriage Vows and Prayer
Father; we come before you today as a couple in union ordained by you before the foundation of the world. We praise, worship, honor and glorify you for your infinite wisdom and foresight for this holy union. We thank you Father for keeping this marriage together despite the bad decisions and sins introduced into this marriage by selfishness and pride. We ask Father your forgiveness this day for our sins and trespasses as husband and wife that we have committed against You and this marriage. We come together before you Lord Jesus to submit ourselves a fresh to you and to each other as husband and wife and renew our vows as husband and wife under your Kingship and Authority. We thank you Lord for your Authority over our Union and we submit first to You and then to one another. We thank you Lord Jesus. And now Lord we want to come against any curse over our marriage; introduced by sin, trespass, word or otherwise. We break curses spoken either by ourselves or others over our marriage, in the name of Jesus. We break all curses over our marriage, in the name of Jesus. We renounce any unholy covenant we have made one with another and break them in the name of Jesus. We break any unholy soul ties that we may have formed through our sin and return our fragmented souls back to ourselves, in the name of Jesus. We bind every foul and unclean spirit enforcing the curses over our marriage in the name of Jesus and shut all unholy open doors to the enemy in the name of Jesus. We proclaim from this moment on that our marriage is renewed a fresh; ordained, sanctified and united under our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We thank you Lord and give you all the honor, glory and praise and seal this prayer in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and King. Amen.
