Shafia and her family are Christians in a place where Christ followers are considered profane. Islamic law says they are traitors to the Muslim faith, and can be killed. Shafia's brother was murdered. She was kidnapped and abused for four months. She was forced to work in a brick kiln for pennies a day. But in the midst of her suffering, Shafia found hope in Jesus Christ, and the ability to forgive her abusers. This video was created by The Voice of the Martyrs to tell Shafia's story, and to call on American Christians to pray for our brothers and sisters who face persecution simply for being followers of Jesus. Who will you pray for today?
